The 60th Anniversary Commemorative e-Booklet of the Joint Council is now available! The commemorative e-booklet provides you with the interviews of 19 guests who actively participated in the Joint Council’s work and marks the 60-year milestones of the Joint Council.

A Study Tour of the “Talent Development Program for Young People with Disabilities” to GBA

The study tour to the Greater Bay Area (GBA) was successfully held on 7 – 8 March 2025. Among 30 participants, 17 of them were trainees of the Training Program with different types of disabilities.

Graduation Ceremony of the “Talent Development Program for Young People with Disabilities”

The graduation ceremony was held on 4 January 2025, with Mr. HO Kai Ming JP, Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare, as the officiating guest. Around 70 graduates, course trainers, and guests participated in the ceremony.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024

The central ceremony of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2024 was held on 1 December 2024 at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.

‘The Hong Kong Joint Council for People with Disabilities 60th Anniversary Celebration Luncheon’ was held on 8 November 2024 with great success.

The 3rd Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Exchange Forum on Synergistic Promotion of Disability Rights and Services

The Joint Council led a delegation of 40 representatives to attend the Exchange Forum in Shenzhen.

Talent Development Program for People with Disabilities

The Joint Council launched the program in 2024 to cultivate disabled leaders to participate in social affairs.

Exchange Program with Dongguan Disabled Persons’ Federation

A delegation comprised of 27 members of the Management Committee and senior management of rehabilitation NGOs visited Dongguan Disabled Persons’ Federation on 28 August 2024.

Workshop on Oral Care for People with Intellectual Disability

In response to the oral care needs of people with intellectual disability, the Joint Council organized the workshop which aimed to equip the home staff with related knowledge and skills.
